Quiet stay next to the highway

Our room was stylish and roomy. The staff were remarkably polite, making our stay enjoyable despite some minor inconveniences.

However, the noise from the stairs was bothersome at times, especially with people coming and going late at night.

Free parking was great, but the breakfast could have offered more options.

Had an awesome stay! Clift at the front desk was super helpful and the cleaning staff were on point—rooms were spotless! The breakfast lady was a gem, super friendly. Only wish the snack bar had more options though.

I recently spent two nights at the Holiday Inn in Opelousas, and there were both highs and lows to my stay. The location is convenient, just 15 minutes from family. The rooms were generally clean and well-furnished. However, the housekeeping service fell short. The bathroom floor had not been properly cleaned during our stay, and the trash wasn't emptied. I also noticed the first-floor hallway had a dirty appearance. Another issue was the inconsistent breakfast service. One morning, I woke up early to find no breakfast ready as advertised. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed, which left a poor impression. On a positive note, the staff cleaning up breakfast was very friendly, and the beds were comfortable, leading to good sleep each night. It's unfortunate, as the hotel itself has a lot of potential with its promising amenities. With some improvements in cleanliness and staffing, this hotel could really shine.

We had a comfortable stay with our small baby, appreciating the clean, spacious room. The nearby Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino made for a fun evening outing for the whole family, with great activities for everyone.

My kids wished there were more activities for children on-site.
